Morning all,

Firstly, sorry I couldn't make the GTG - we had plans already that we could not cancel. Glad everyone had a good time and wasn't the weather fabulous?

Secondly, I've got rust appearing in both of my front fog lights - not that impressed, considering the car isn't even 5 years old. When the car was first serviced under my ownership, I mentioned this to the dealer I was at who didn't want to know (surprise surprise), despite my telling him that the (26 year old) Lucas lamps on my father's Bentley were looking better than mine.

So...I need a new pair sometime. Any idea how much I'm gonna be paying for them? Is there a friendly parts specialist on here who will sell me a pair?

Thanks in advance,

Greg

Mate you ain t going to like this. I had one front foglight lens replaced and it cost about £150 plus vat luckily done under warranty. They are a sealed unit apparently.
Mine was the AMG spoiler ones.
Regards
Ian

I replaced the foglight lens twice due to stone damage. The lens costs £9 and takes about max 30 minutes to replace. Mine is a 98' E240 and the foglight is not a sealed unit.
Not too sure about the cost of the main foglight unit.

Sorry folks - reposting.

The glass on the front of both is fine, but the metal part of both units (the reflector) is rusting - badly.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of a good supplier? I shudder to think what the dealer may charge.

Thanks in advance,

Greg

...and this is what puts this particular MB forum above all others.

Koolvin, many thanks.

** UPDATE **

Steve's replied, just asking if I want new or (A1) used - not really bothered, to be honest.

Got an e mail off a dealer (for a laugh) - £42 each. Oh, and they can fit them at additional cost.

Anyone used eurocarparts before?
