Hi All
I've got a 98 E320 Avantarde estate which has developed a noise and vibration which appears to be coming from the front.
Got the car a few weeks ago with 74,000 miles. Had it checked over and 2 new bottom ball joints plus new air flow metre plus new front discs.
The noise/vibration started then when the car hit 60mph and above.
I then got the tracking done cos she was pulling to the left. This cured it a little as the guys told me that the wheels were toeing out.
I've now just fitted some 8.5 x 18 alloys and it has now gotten a lot worse. From 35-40 mph I'm getting what I can only describe as a buzzing sensation through the steering wheel and accelerator plus a droning noise?
Don't think it is the tyres as it was there (although not as bad with the 16" wheels) and wondered if it could be something simple like the front wheel bearings. Any ideas/thoughts welcome.
