Hi my 2005/54 w203 C180K started to run very badly on start up I recently had a full service but the car still run badly I had star diag done No codes shown up So I was told that I had to replace the breathers that run underneath the air box also under the supercharger. So I had this done got the car back seem'd ok then when my wife was returning home from a day out the management light came on and the car has started to show the same problem as before
I'm £500 out of pocket now an the same problem
I have been told the problem could be as simple as a new fuel filter could this possible???? This is the only part I forgot to change on the service
Any help much appreciated

Not likely the fuel filter unless you and any previous owners regularly filled up from rusty old drums. Read the error codes.
Too bad you paid 500 for the breathers, it's actually one hose à £10 usually, and it's a one hour job replacing it if you've done it before.

I would have thought that a partially blocked or collapsed fuel filter will be more noticeable as the engine revs go up and it requires more fuel. If it's mainly idling badly then it's not likely to be that fuel filter. Said that, it's a good idea to have it replaced - it should be done very four years.

I would guess at it being either an air leak, the MAF, or the valves guides.

Quick update thanks for the replys the car is as good as new New fuel filter and a star diag to clear the engine management light
Sweet as a nut The super charger removal was £300 inc parts an the service £200 inc parts thought that was a good price Mercedes specialist
Hope my problem fixed helps others with the same symptom
So if you do my advise is change the fuel filter first £90 done
Thanks again
