Whilst Inchcape go off to check prices for a new fuel line for my 280ge I wonder if there are alternatives to a new MB part.
I have a section of braided fuel line that is weeping badly. I have had one suggestion to cut the section out and pop a new tube over the top but that sounds inelegant to me.
It looks to me as though the part is one piece from the fuel distributor (narrow metal pipe) with permanent join to braided hose down to a jubilee clip where it joins solid fuel line again.
Is it worth popping into Pirtek who seem to have an enormous range of fixings and pipe or do I just get the MB part secure in the knowledge that it will a) fit and b) work. Last thing I want is fuel peeing around the engine bay........
