'G' reg 190E 2.0 keeps cutting out

Any advice would be welcome. Keeps cutting out on m/ways and when at junctions. Problem intermitent - sometimes runs fine.

Check the fuel relay, its fitted behind the battery cover.
Black relay.

Another thing I have noticed is, just before it cuts out, the pump appears to speed up.

Well it's not the relay then, sounds more like fuel starvation due to blocked filter or air leaking into tank suction pipe.

i would still check the relay they are quite common bought a 190e in the week and it was fine took it for mot saturday morning as i had someone coming to look at it and it stopped as it was pulled of the ramp turned out to be the relay you can bridge 2 of the terminals with a piece of wire 87/and 30 the pump will then run permanently but it will let you know if that was the fault.
other than that there is a filter as the fuel lines enter the metering head that could be partially blocked.
