Following a recent thread where I posted a picture of my garage floor tiles I have had some members ask for the supply details - and so I thought I would post them here:

The supplier is a long standing client/friend of mine and can be found here:

They are fantastic quality in a variety of colours and are used extensively in pit lane garages etc by all the top motor racing teams. They can be re-assembled if you move etc. which is why the racing teams use them from track to track.

They are easy to lay - in the main our garage was laid by Charlie, my 12 year old son.

There are a number of colours on the website, and don't forget to ask about the bevelled leading edge for the front of the garage (little ramp sections to give a smooth edge)

Call them and ask for Steve Ward and quote "MBUK" - my name is Marc -

I had a regular concrete floor that had previously been painted - this was worn and chipped and rather than re-do it I went for the tiles and they have transformed it! As you can see from the picture, it carries the pool table and ride on mower without problem.

Cheers

Marc

I bought a roll of ribbed rubber flooring from Machine Mart. It's about 10mm thick, 1.2m wide and 15m long.

Cheap, quick and effective.

They don't seem to have it on their website anymore, but Sealey & Clarke will probably have the same kind of thing.

just what i need for my brand new 5 car garage - price is good as well. And i will also use these in the 6 car garage i already have...this is the solution i have been wanting for some time. Fed up of painting the floor every 3 months !

cheers

I'm not jealous.... ;)

OT, but have you any more pics of the 328 Talbir?

A garage that big and still not enough room for a car!
That made me smile ! ! ! !
:D

The mower (£3,500  ) is moving to a new shed to make room for one of these:

Posted a link recently about getting the new shape Mustang but have got hooked on the original - there seems to be quite a cottage industry in this country importing from Califormia/Arizona and off to company on Monday to see their stock. So at last the garage will be housing a car ! And the E class will continue to stay outside !

The fastbacks look much nicer than the coupes.

Very true. They're also much more expensive. The '68 fastback is the one to go for IMO, provided you have the necessary $$$. Still, you'll have no depreciation to worry about.

Ah, fewer Fords. It's feeling better here already! :bannana:
