Hi Guys

Me again I am changing all my oils this month and I have a manual gearbox and Haynes Manual recommends Auto ATF the same as the auto box,can anybody verify that this correct.

Thanks again.

Hi Steve there are 2 items in there I have just been in again,I wonder if it is not showing because it is not me going on to the site.

Anyway here is what I will buy if it is OK, I have just this minute emailed them for confirmation that they will be OK.

Fuchs TITAN GEAR HYPOID 90 GEAR OIL Heavy Duty Automotive Transmission Oil-1 Litres £10.58
Mobilube 1 SHC 75W-90 fully synthetic, supreme performance commercial gear oil-1 Litre £11.63
I have got the Fuchs listed for the gearbox and the Mobilube for the rear axle

The Fuchs is not ATF... you need normal ATF for all gear boxes IIRC

Thanks Jay that is why I have not bought it yet, back to opie oil site.

EP90 sounds very heavy for any gearbox. Maybe a 40 tonner..

Hi Jay
I am getting a bit confused now which isn't hard:o.

Those two links is that for the gearbox and the one I picked originally for the rear axle.

the two links are what you can use for the manual gearbox... one is synthetic and costs a lot more... matter of opinion as to whether its worth the extra..

if you go to "car service packs" and then put in your car, it will give you recomendations for all the various oils you are after with the capacties etc..

I am going to follow Jays advise and use OPIE OILS and this is what they recommend for my car 1999 C200 Manual petrol.
There was this comment from the service department.

According to my records ATF was originally recomended, the one that meets the spec is the Fuchs Titan CVT ATF http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-970-fuc...performance-automatic-transmission-fluid.aspx however this has been superseeded by the Sintofluid FE 75w.

Differential
TITAN SINTOPOID FE 75W-85
TITAN GEAR HYP 90

Manual Transmission
TITAN SINTOFLUID FE 75W

I get a bit paranoid about oils and want to make sure I have got the right ones, can anybody see a problem with any of these and which one out of the two would you use in the Diff.
Thanks once again guys for all your valuable help (as always)
