I only went to my local dealership to get a service for my A-Class, with no intention of buying another - but that's exactly what I did.

I just don't like the imminent replacement model, and the new B-Class in the showroom just doesn't cut mustard, in my opinion.

The point of my posting is that there are relatively few models 'in the system' for factory delivery, with nothing available after April - so get one while you can!

I was advised that the earliest date for the newer model arriving on these shores is sometime after September.

well im actually trying to sell my 08 A150 ********** SE at the moment its only got 27000 on the clock i put it on auto trader for £8000 and didnt get a single enquirey,
i am fairly new on here so may try and sell it though the forum soon

I went to my local MB yesterday, to pick up a jack point for my A160, and had a look at W169s there ... and a new B-class. I like the interior of the new B-class, but I still prefer the exterior or W168 :dk:

Will have to make a decision some time soon I guess: W168 is not the kind of car you meant to keep for a few decades

are the new A's in showrooms yet??

If you are planning to buy a run-out model then negotiate a hefty discount as the residual value will have taken a bigger hit when you come to sell.

Not at Mercedes-Benz Northampton. They got two new B-Class though - incl one LHD with German number plates :thumb:

I am still trying to find W169 E-Cell for use in The Bahamas, hopefully even get it converted to RHD... I guess the leases they were available on are just coming to an end and they should start popping up for sale in about 3-6 months time ... that would be my ideal ride for Nassau :bannana:

Here, it'll probably be a new B-Class, it looks much better in real life than those pics I've seen ... Or, really well specced W169 :dk:

I wish I learn to like big cars - so much more choice :wallbash:

I actually bought an A180cdi this week. First time I have ever purchased from a main dealer. The network have got quite a few A-classes in stock, all up to 1 year old, similar mileage and similar (reasonable for main-dealer) prices.

Try as I may (and believe me I did try), couldn't get much off the asking price. Have tried many times to haggle with MB dealers, and never got them to shift much.

All dealers are currently offering just under £4,000 discount on new A-Class models.

If that's their opening offer I'd look to negotiate down from there.

I bought my A-Class (second in succession) just over a year ago, aware that they were coming to the end. Suppose I should have waited, but I did have a firm idea of what options I wanted which I thought might be more difficult as they got near the end.

The only option I couldn't get for my 'factory' order was an Audio 50 or Comand - but I shall probably get an Alpine INE-S900R (with A-Class installation kit) instead for around £750.

Alpine - Navigation Systems - INE-S900R
