So I have booked my alloys in for a refurb....The only problem now is I now need to get them off the car.
I live in a flat with an underground garage with very limited access to tools. I was hoping to use the jack in the boot and 4 small jack stands I bought but I am not very confident with the jack from the boot.
I tried the boot jack and one of the jack stands at the weekend and neither filled me with confidence never mind when i have 2 or 3 wheels on the stands. The boot stand moves from side to side pretty easy and the round rubber pads on the jacking points do not sit on the jack stands too well.
Is there a better way to jack up an SL R230. I could get the lend of a trolley jack but then if i use that on the jacking points where do I put the jack stand?
