hi all, does anyone know a good mechanic in the manchester or cheshire area (poss a merc specialist), trying to avoid the stealership charges....prob a long shot but if any one knows of any....your help would be appreciated...mick

I concur re The Mercedes Doctor. You won't find better.

There is a guy based on the Wirral, Ian Tyrrell, who used to service most of Road Range's cars after the initial warranty period...
Half the price of the dealership and also a real Petrol head to boot. I have seen old Ferraris and Astons there as well.
He used to collect cars from the house and gave excellent back-up.
His old number was 0498 554279 so I guess that will be 07798 554279 now after the change.
