You're right - it does look good.

I also found a GL class for £489 + VAT which for a £52,000 car is surprising. The same monthly payment gets a E220 worth £32,000.

Just called, but it seems the deposit is incorrect. They're calling me back to confirm what it should be.

Sorry, what deposit? They're business contract hire deals, aren't they?

It's a lot of car for £350/mth, but as a company car the tax would be horrible.

Yes, but all lease deals (generally) require a payment structure that includes 3 or 6 payments up front.

The advertised rate on that R-class is 3+23 for a 2 year lease (but might be different as BD has mentioned). I don't think this differs from business to personal leases, although there is VAT on the personal leases.

Rory - Sorry I meant the initial payment rather than deposit!! That's pretty much a deposit in my simply mind!!

Usually the special offers have a larger initial payment to offset the lower monthly payments, and you used to have to call for details.

Just heard back from Skyfleet. The guy had to check himself as it was unusual. Remarkably, this really right though, and the initial payment is a 3x monthly payment.

They only have five cars though. Spec differs but they have COMAND and leather as a minimum - some have more though.

If they would do that +VAT for a personal deal then that would be very attractive - I used to get a new company car every 2 yrs and it was great having a new car for a year, then looking forward to getting a new one for the next year!

I did look at leasing when I opted out, but the cost of options like leather and COMAND normally kills it stone dead as they generally try to more or less recover the whole cost in the lease period.

What I'd *really* like is to get cars for 6mths or so - a couple of my neighbours do that, and they barely need to give their cars a wash and they're going back!

Give them a call - I believe they will offer the same deal on a personal basis - at least many similar outfits do.

Of course, and that's why they're offering such a competitive deal.

The facelift doesn't really offer much - pretty much the 7th seat and AMG style bumpers as standard - if I'm not mistaken.
