Well the production of the w203 C-Class has finally ended:

TBH honest with you, I was never a fan until the facelift appeared (Clear lights etc) as I thought it looked like a cheap w210!

So, long live the W204!!!*

For the record, here is a shot of the final W202 (as per my sig) :bannana:

*Bah, my car is now 2 generations old :(

Mines more than that ....

But i'm proud of it , it was built in a time when quality mattered ;)

so the W204 are already produced?

Price for an used W203 will fall down as soon, I'm still looking for a C270.

thanks KillerHERTZ!

...W202 photo: only one white collar worker and several workers:)

...W203 photo: quite more white collar and manager

(

Pre face lift from mid 2003 with bi xenons did not look outdated at all and people often think mine is a face lift (which it clearly is not). See pics of mine below of the headlamps. If anything all W203s from launch were described by the motoring press/media as being a "sporty baby S Class W220"...:)

Personally, I think the W203 is more prettier than a W210 but again I would say that...!

You are bang on Howard.

I own several mercs, but the most reliable and rewarding are the ones that were more than 8 years old. In my experience the later models, including the W203, are not really built to last and are more style over substance.

Plus, I would not want to be the owner of a new W204 in its first year of production, thank you: three years from now this forum will be full of tales of how the early 2007 W204s suffered from all sorts of teething issues and are best to be avoided.

Give me a W124 230TE with 100K miles any day.

If I ever was to buy a W204 then I would personally wait for the face lift or at least avoid buying until three years from the launch date of the model...;)
