Goodwood Trackday 2012

I was hoping i would just rub it off this morning as I looked at it as I was going to work this morning, WRONG!, so wrong, looking like a refurb for the moment, more money! But yesterday was a fun day out with a great bunch of people, so I consider it all worthwhile.

sounds like what happened to mine last year Ricky, they were smokin!

the goldy color will wear off a a fair bit so wouldnt worry!

Ricky - golden calipers are a sign that your car had been driving correctly, I also have some spare paint if you want the rears to match.
Different pads should see a vast improvement and when you do change your disks I would go for solid rather than cross drilled to avoid cracks.

Photo's and videos are great, gutted I couldn't join you all but when the last of the places went a few weeks ago I booked a weekend away with the wife. Briefly thought about moving it on Thursday but thought my life would not be worth living

as i said "very quick and very tidy" im not surprised the brakes show signs of wear when you reach the end of lavant straight you certainly stand on that brake pedal my eyes were on stalks at that point !

This isn't Rickys car (dodgy side decals on this!), but this was a similar colouring to his calipers, looks quite smart if all 4 had that colour.

Couldn't believe how bad the Boxsters brakes are though, they were fading very badly right from the start and under braking the rear was stepping out a fair bit too.

no doubt the tyres being nearly bald did not help the brakes' effectiveness!

Nah Drove it to work today to check it over, rear end very squirrelly in a similar off camber right hander. Whilst the tyres are not bald and should have been fine they are clearly well past their use by date!! New set now.

I did mention another date in late August but nobody was keen. We do have 30th Nov as well but that is a long way off.

I also like the variety of cars, 25 C63s would be boring and potentially dangerous as with all cars equal, people would push themselves too hard. I like the variety of people (from the old boys in the Aston to Matt in his hyper cars) too.

This one also meant a lot less hassle for Ricky too.

Jokes aside, I was looking at trackdays.co.uk and there are plenty of tracks available in June-July. If we know when we want to go I can phone them up and check availability? Let me know what you guys think. I personally can do short notice.

Nobody, I saw him and his entourage arrive and be escorted up to the viewing suite. They only stayed 10-15mins.
