Please need help.
Have bought new command for my 2002 ML. Have fitted, simple enough just one existing connector. I now need to stick the underdash GPS aerial.
Where is the best loaction. I have been informed take out glove box and stick near the vent.
Also will need conversion plug to stick my CD changer. Will buy if for sale and also fiber cable.
Instructions needed dummy proof proof step by step for converting plug from existing to new C1 or C2 i think to connect my CD Changer

Thanks in advance

I would buy the proper mercedes part for the roof, the wiring is all there. My wife's ML windscreen isnt metallic, so you could stick it anywhere that can see the sky through plastic/glass, but not metal

Also, buy the proper MB adapter loom to convert the C plug and the gps aerial cable - it will save you pain and allow you to remove it more easily if you sell the car

I assume you have the MB fibre optic CD player in the trunk ? If not, then you either have to use that or one particular becker player. I tend to opt for the MB parts. I dont know if the CD changer power wiring and fibre optic is there or not if you didnt factory order the CD changer. I would guess that the CD power wiring is, but the fibre isnt ..

See www.ibex.co.uk/mbstuff for part nrs

I heard that the Becker CD changer that works with comand is no longer made. also, it came with its own power loom & fibre optic and at the cdc end the connections are different. I agree its best to stick with the MB CDC
