Great mercedes number plate.

I'm sure there are a few people on here that wouldn't mind this?

MY55 AMG

Which is why something seems strange, or is it me?

On the other hand, I have TW0 8ENZ on retention, which is a safe bet, and open to offers! :D

So when you get the third merc, plate becomes obsolete ;)

If you had TW0 JAG5, well, you'd make a fortune there...

I used to see a car with X121NCH appropriately spaced to read something that I doubt was true.

Problem with MY55AMG is because Merc didn't revert to E55 nomenclature when they started using their 5.5 biturbo after the E63 - it's life is limited unless they revert in future.

True, but there's still an awful lot of 55-badged AMGs registered from Sept 2005 onwards out there.

I would too but my car is too old as I expect 90% is of 55 AMGs will be, to the lucky ones that arn't though, I'm sure someone will snap it up.

Car-related private plates are nice, but the obvious risk is that they become obsolete when you change the vehicle.... while most people are unlikely to change their names :)

I think one of the best plates I ever saw was R6, it was on a 1980s Volvo 340 with an old lady 80+ driving it, I did wonder if she had any idea how much it was worth, I bet Yamaha would shell out for it.

There's a lot of it about...

I have never understood model specific plates unless it is for an exceptionally rare car ... Although I did once laugh on seeing a super bling Audi RS6 which was parked on the side of the road by the Lambo garage in South Ken, as a little Honda Civic driven by an elderly Kensington lady went by with the number plate RS6.

The best Mercedes number plate was MB 1 , owned for many years by Max Bygraves , and he turned down many blank cheque offers from Mercedes-Benz .

The plate changed hands after his death .
