No not an SLK....

After all the trouble we've had with the S Class and the indifferent dealer attitude....what did you expect?

Question for tonight
Where were the pics taken?
A tenner to the charity of your choice to the first person who can tell me!

Also does anyone know of a similar forum to this for BMW?

I'm sure you and your wife will love it but don't you think it's ugly?

the ride on crummy London roads on those 18" wheels is horrible ... even if they look fabulous

Good taste!

... but then I would say that wouldn't I

Loving the choice, these cars have really grown on me of late.

As for 18's don't worry - my 19's are ok round town. ;-)

The pic was definitely taken on a moor ...

A mate has a Z4 in the BMW "launch" colour, that battleship grey  - I don't think that colour suits the car at all. Saw a Z4 in silver  yesterday and thought it looked a million times better, as does yours in black. I think the front looks a bit too "heavy", but it is still a *very* classy car. The rear view is gorgeous; love the rear lights :D .

Verdict:

Holcom Hill outside Bury? Or even Tangle Hill? outside Oldham?

Shame BMW could not sort the organge indicators out on the frot headlamps...

Flash

Still got the S500L... Getting a bit sick of it going wrong all the time..
At least I get a valet done by Whitefield almost every month. That's how often it goes in for warranty work. I am still undecided what I will replace it with. Maybe 6 or 7 series. Amazingly there's not much choice at this level. Lexus LS look like barges and don't have the right image, VW Phaeton??? Jag... No thanks... Any Suggestions other than another S Class.

Ilkley Moor?
No. Other side of the border.

pic taken up on Saddleworth Moors?
Very close. Saddleworth moor in the background but you'll have to be more specific to get a tenner out of me.

Which engine did you go for?

Its a 3.0i
It was a dealer showroom demonstrator.
i.e. It was ordered by the dealer and has been sat in the showroom for the last 6 months. It had 27 miles on the clock.

It was ordered with EVERY option available.
3.0i Auto
Sapphire Black Metallic
Dream Red Leather
Composite Star 18" Alloys
Bluetooth Telephone Prep
SatNav Pro
Carver Pro Audio
Electric Fold Mirrors
Rain Sensing Wipers
Auto Lights
Cruise Control
Auto Dimming Mirrors
Memory Electric Seats
Park Distance Control
Xenon Lights

Plus from the Special Accessories Catalogue
Aerodynamic Kit (Deep front spoiler, side skirts and rear diffuser)
Clear lamp kit (Clear side indicators, Center brake light and clear indicators in the rear lights)
Sycamore wood steering wheel
Alpina Exhaust system

Total List Price £43,000

I paid £33,000

It is a shame the front indicators are orange and there is a part no. for clears but they come as a full headlight unit and only available for LHD cars @ Euro 1100 pair. I'm sure I could disassemble them and get them to fit but its a bit expensive.

Still the wife has absolutely fallen in love with it.
It was her 40th after all, so I had to get her something special.
