Had a new set of speakers and an amp installed in my W124 cab which involved running new speaker cables to the boot.

I now have a groaning squeak coming from what sounds like around the dash in the steering wheel area. It sounds like two panels rubbing together but no amount of pushing and prodding around seems to be able to locate it.

In order to replace the cables to the dash speakers, would more than the panel under the steering wheel need to be removed? The fitter has been away on holiday so I can't ask him and it is driving me nuts.

Decided to start taking things off anyway, and found that a screw had not been put back next to the keyhole. It was an opportunity to look under the steering wheel and the fit of everything under there is atrocious, so I want to pull it all out and do it again.

Is there a guide anywhere that shows how all those plastic panels above the footwell on the drivers side go back together as it does not look like it has been done properly.
