The handbrake on the wife's 2009 A150 doesn't seem up to much, is there any adustment on it, if so how is it done? Or are they just automatic adjusterers.

Just had the hand break adjusted on my 2005 C180k by my mechanic. He tells me there is a specific tool that is required to be able to do this on my car, not sure about the W169 though

That's rubbish! Either a flat blade screw driver through the rear disks (bolt hole) or a 13mm spanner on one nut under the rear seat, hardly special tools, anyway w169 same as above through rear disks to adjust shoes or dive under the car passenger side by rear wheel and there is a threaded bracket with a 10mm nut on it, this takes slack out of the cable.

Sorry to rehash old threads but is the handbrake gubbins covered by the under-body protective pan? I'm thinking of greasing the pivots.
Thank you
