Hi,

The bulbs have blown on the drivers side (RHS) of the heater controls. The white arrows still illuminate on the switches but the temp selectors don't. Is the wood trim removed by removing the screws behind the ash tray. I did remove them but the wood fascia seemed fixed, could someone point me in the correct path so I can remove the wood fascia on the center console so I can replace the bulbs in the heater controls. The car is a E200 W124

all the best Karl

Did you pull the control knobs off and undo the nuts behind them?

No I didn't I thought that the facia needed removing first to all allow accsess. Do you point the switches to the floor then pull them off, then unfasten the two screw behhind the ashtray. It's the bulb in the wheel for the temp control which has popped

Yes, just pull the knobs off and undo the nuts (22 mm, IIRC) behind them. Take the screws out the bottom of the panel and pull it out. To get the failed bulb out you'll first need to unclip the light guide.
