Hello, first post and pics of C32 c55 and ML420cdi Sport

Ive had the C32 since 2005 and sadly it goes on monday. But on a happier note ove just taken delivery of a 2005 C55 AMG in diamond Black.

Ill do a review later but suffice to say the 55 IMO is simply a better car, quicker steering, AMAZING engine, better interior, better nav looks better etc and so far im i think its the beast car ive had and ive had a few.

Our sencond child is due in 4 weeks so i sold my 07 335d and bought a new Ml420 cdi sport..WOW what a car i love it and for family transport i dont think we could have got a more suitable car.

Now the C55 on a carpark it was sunny so i couldnt resist

Im a regular sposter on the ALPINA register and E90post so i think after reading a few posts on here, ill feel right at home

Regarding the C55 id say go for it, people say the C32 is as good and having owned one for 3 years and now having a c55 i can firmly say the C55 is improved in every way i just wish id have bought one last year instead of a new 335d....Note to self always go with heart and not head in future

Two very nice motors there. Question about of the V8 Diesel. Does it sound at all like a diesel or just a deep V8 roar. I heard its an amazing engine...

To answer both of you the ML is simply brilliant. Its smooth, controled very luxurios. The Mrs gets about 22mpg ( all town) which i think is superb considering the engine.. which leads me nicely into 306bhp and 700nm, its a masterpice. I had a 335d remapped and the engine was i thought the best deisel lump money can buy, until i got the 420.

Sounds like a V8 petrol very gutteral roar i love it. Only on start up is there a slight rattle but after a bout 30 secs id bet a grand you cant tell its a deisel. The way it shifts is a bit silly for a big wobbly bus .

When we picked the car up i spotted a mark on the bonnet so after a botched repair job i got them to change the bonnet. The salesmanager was that embarressed he gave us his company car (a Ml320cdi) and it felt agricultural by comparison and a hell of a lot slower. We are verry happy we decided on the 420. I tried the Q7 and the new X5 and i think the merc is simply a better car....well done Mercedes

I think in europe they put this in the E class? now that would be some exec express!!!

Aaaw - that's nice. Mine are the other way around. Darling daughter is the eldest with Sensational Son 41/2 years younger and he's 15 in July
