Somehow....(I suspect small fingers) the driver's seat on my W202 only goes back, not forward (talking about the seat back, on the whole seat).

It's current position would suit myself in a few years, once the beer-belly has caught up....

Other than take it to the stealership, any suggestions ?

There does not appear to be anything suck in there, and I've no idea how to take the seats out !

4 bolts to take the seat out... may be some electrical plug to pull out under neath beforehand, if you have heated seats or if it is from a facelift w202 passanger side....

Wleg,

Or alternatively drive round to K.'s and he'll have the car interior stripped within minutes ;) If you're really lucky he might fit a leather interior for you as per the piccies above. :D :p

Did you manage to get your seat problem fixed after finding the 4x bolts?

THanks - all - have taken seat out, and will investigate later today the cause..

Koovin / anyone clever - your old sports seats look similar to my (current ones). Do you know how to take the back off to get to the mechanism (the one that adjusts the angle of the back) ?

Many thanks to all Koolvin for the pics, as I wouldn't have had a clue otherwise !

You did better than me, all I got for my recent troubles was a worthless french coin! :(

Forgive my ignorance, but what are the metal plates for underneath the seats?

They're not metal plates, they're the rear passenger ventilation trumpets :)

Scott,
Doesnt your 190E have similar? I could have sworn my previous W201 had these too.
