help glove box problem

new mb owner here loving it by the way!!

picked up my 55 plate CLK 270CDi Avantgard last night. Only have a few niggles with it. The main one being the glove box wont close. It closes fine but soon as you move your hand it flops down again.

I have tried to push it a little but still nothing. The mechanism works with the opening flap on the outside of the glove box.

If the mechanism is busted is it possible to change it or does this include changing the whole glove box door?

the glove box lid wouldnt close so done a bit of research and turns out the latch the glove box lid closes to can be adjusted so just undone the bolt pulled it out and tightened it slightly to check it lined up properly. Once i was happy with where it was i tightened the bolt and hey presto
