Get another quote from Mb Brooklands for comparison.

Dont let Brentford do the work, make sure they need your authorisation before they start any work.

Brooklands farm out all their work to Brentford.

I phoned Brooklands when the CLK door was dented , and they told me that Brentford do their work and even booked me a slot with an estimator there.

Hope it all works out. Let us know how many pans you get out of the wreckage

Yes MB Brooklands send (most) of their bodywork repair to Brentford - my experience with Brentford was bad too. Phiness Coachworks in Esher used to be the place were MB Brooklands sent their bodyshop work and I think they still do on the odd occasion. I have used Phiness a couple of times and their work was good.

Brooklands have used Brentford since they moved to MB World. The last I heard Phiness is now no longer so most of there work has moved to Ron at Vanleigh who I can say is a top guy and work is faultless.

Yes just checked receiver was appointed to Phiness on 24th June this year.

Hi again, I have recieved the estimate from mercedes brentford and apparently its over £10,000... (shocked). But the question is...

I think the car is worth around 18k , would they repair it or would they write it off?
