I have 2009 120 Vito Dualiner, and have an intermittant electrical problem. The nearside sliding door dash warning light keeps coming on even though the door is properly shut. Dealer has had vehicle three times and cant find a fault, they have changed the door module but that didnt help. There doesnt seem to be any pattern of when it happens, it appears totally random. I can go days without a problem then have a day when it happens everytime I drive. Is there a common module of some sort that may be faulty, the dealer says not, they say each door has its own module and thats been replaced. If the van thinks there is door open the interior lights stay on so I have to keeping switching them off. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I would bridge the door switch permanantly and see if this makes it go away. If so then the switch is at fault. Try locking the van up and pulling on the door handle firmly and see if the interior lights come on. If they do the switch is probably faulty.

Just discovered the nearside sliding door doesnt lock either. I wonder how many times I've left the van parked up with an unlocked door with all my tools inside. I guess its got to be the door switch. I'll be calling the dealer in the morning.
