I have recently installed a dvd player, PS2 and 2 screens in the front head rest of my e class. All is well except that there is a lot of interference on the two screens when the engine is running.

I have taken a permanent feed from the battery to an alpine 4 output, 2 input unit (fused of course) and a ignition switched from the front cigarette lighter (again all fused). As the current draw on each unit is small I have earthed all the units locally, normally the fixings to the underside of the parcel shelf.

If anyone has any suggestions as to how to get rid of the interference it would be most helpful.

Thanks in advance.

i had a similar problem with mine , installed a supressor in the positive feed and it sorted it. maplins do them it just removes engine interference from the power lines. i also put audio supressors in my sound cables as you could hear when you revved the engine. Thats the best place to start.

Thanks for the advice I will try it.

Did you put the suppresors on both switched and unswitched feeds. At what point did you install the audio suppressors?

Hi Pepe,

Got the bit........from Maplin...............fitted it...........all sorted...........on video..............and audio.

Thanks for your help I'm well pleased with the results…..so are the kids........they even asked me if there was somewhere far away to go…..how bizarre
