Help wanted SLK grill options.

Hi

I have just purchased a 1999 SLK 230 Kompressor (R170) and I want to freshen the front of the car up by changing out the stock black grill with a slatted chrome one simular to the CLK grill.

Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction?

There're based in the US and are very reliable company. With the current exchange rate is may prove a bargain depending if you get stung with the customs tax.

Alternatively do what I did and spray it silver, you can buy the Merc silver paint, clear laquer and primer from Halfords and with a few hours work will come out looking just as good as the SLK limited edition grill.

No - it's the Special Edition grille when they were getting ready to bring in the R171 I modded Edna putting the silver grille in plce of the standard charcoal ;_

Didn't know they did spray paint at Boots No7 counter...

As mentioned earlier, I'd sprayed paint mine myself using Merc brilliant silver paint. Comes out identical to the Limited Edition grill for the fraction of the cost. Has'nt peeled off or anything for the past 12 months.
