In a few words the mod did not like me from the day he joined and has used one sad man eric to pull down the forum by using me.

To have a mod who goes in and modifies and deletes their own postings is too much, i had my post count deleted, and that I only found by accident, I had one window open from 3pm, some 40 post later it was minus 30 post below the 3pm post, he could have been doing it for months

oh poor you, I'm sure that those posts were rellay useful to lots of members as well.

I recognize your name from when I used to be on that forum & know how helpful you were. I couldn't understand the secrecy of the whole exodus.

Once upon a time that forum was like the Wild West with v. little moderation (remember Landrover?) Then they got an Irishman & a fireman who were obsessive in their moderating. Heavy handed and VERY sensitive to any criticism.

They banned me a couple of years ago when the fireman told a new poster to buy a Bristol when he came on the forum asking advice on a Merc classic. I Told the fireman he was insane & that was the end of me! This, and other MB forums, are Premier league while MBOA was always a bit of a pretender.

I am 72 and still working, though the TV side has mainly crashed I do plenty of installs and thats easier than fixing the things.

Just for a little bit of info about me, having had some 470 cars in my life, I was deputy technical secretary for the RR club and gave lectures for some years, I love helping people.

Through my life in electronics it makes it easier to work out some of the electrical problems one encounters these days.

My weakness is that I am easy to wind up.

Well its all our now.

There was a man called eric403045 he admitted posting 500 wrong answers as he did not like me, and the mods kept him on for more wrong answers and as far as I know he will be back there, in other words the mod used eric to get rid of me. thats it in a nut shell
