 Some inconsiderate, selfish, miserable, cowardly and probably uninsured git hit my car the other day.
Did they leave a note with an apology and a telephone number... Nooooooooo!

Anyway most of the damage will probably polish out but I think I will need a new 'rub strip' for the rear bumper which has sustained some deep scoring.
What’s the best polish to use for this sort of thing; nothing to abrasive I guess so I don’t remove the lacquer.

Anyone know how the rub strips come off?
Also, do they come pre-painted from MB?
Anyone know the part numbers? It's a W203 estate in (you guessed it) brilliant silver (744)?

Cheers

Which rub strip is it...?

The strips can carefully be removed by using a flat head screw driver and prying open but can be broken in process of too much force used. They then just clip back on.

I'm sure that MB do supply them pre painted (just like they do with the wing mirror shells).

Sorry to hear that mate. Many of the plastic parts do come pre-painted like Flash says, so hopefully easy to sort.
