How can I use a VIN number to find a part number unique to that vehicle?

I need some wiring looms for some leather seats I have acquired. How do I use the VIN from the car they came from to get them?

Gallom is correct, most dealers now will only order against the VIN number to avoid costly mistakes as they cannot now return incorrectly ordered parts

It is called EPC, with less that 20 euros per year you can buy access for yourself.

Then there is this free Russian site, but you cannot use VIN to make the system show parts for your particular car.
