Mine is through Elephant, essentially the same as Admiral, insurance is extremely confusing, my neighbour who is my age with similar experience gets completely different quotes to me!

I'm with elephant and pay £540 fully comp on my cls 55 AMG. For a 36 year old with 5 years ncb I think that's a good price!

Just got my Merc about three weeks ago - was one month into my current insurance policy - paid only about £45 more on top of previous renewal of £230 so call it about £270 ish for a year, 200 SLK, loads of NCB, late 40's, 'safe' part of Burton, business cover, 15,000 miles per annum.

Quite chuffed really.

Big difference from my last car (a little Citroen DS3, quite a change I know) - was the Citroen was only £60 excess, the SLK is £250........

Previous insurers bumped up renewal by £250. Shopping around got it down to £10 less than last year. Be wary of some of the cheap insurers though. Look closely at the repair conditions. Some limit repairs to their own approved repairers with a 3 year guarantee and some include a further £200 excess if you use anyone else but they still have to approve them! No good for maintaining the MB 30 year warranty.

Be wary of all insurers on this.

Nothing to do with whether they are cheap or expensive IME.
