How much would YOU pay for this

Hi folks, been a member for some time after considering a c36 AMG last year.

Instead, I purchased a 330Ci BM (sorry!), but I have since realised the error of my ways, and the 330 is being sold at the weekend. lol. I get bored of cars very quickly, and this usually works in my favour as I rarely encounter any depreciation.

Now, I am looking at several models as an upgrade. I have narrowed it down to three. A Maserati 3200GT, C5 Corvette convertible, or a CL500 Merc.

Whichever I choose know I will end up keeping it for only around 3 months or so, so I want to buy cheap and sell high privately then, hopefully losing little.

I am young, so want to spend as little as possible, but obviously don't want a lemon

I have been offered a mint condition silver LHD CL500, 2000X with comand etc, and 84k miles for around £20k. The car has full merc history and has just had the major service done this month, so one headache out of the way.

Am I getting a good deal there? And how easy is it to get used to the LHD?

I can get a right hand drive black CL500, same year and slighly lower miles for around £24k. Should I find the extra (it will be hard for me!).

Any help much appreciated folks.

Hi,
personally I would stuggle and find the extra cash. If you want to be able to sell the car quick in a few months, when you are bored with it. The last thing you want is a car that has an even smaller market than the CL in the first place

Nice car though.

By the way, can you really get a Maserati 3200 for £20k? I like them although the earlier models got a bit of a slating for some reason.
