How not to wrap a car!!

I would not ask this guy to wrap my Christmas presents. That is a shocker. If you can't do the job then pay somebody who can. To take money of this guy for that is robbery. Who knows what is left underneath not to mention the visible damage to trims etc. This is going to be an expensive fix.

Thank you for reminding me never to use AUTOTECNIXTINTING Window tinting specialists if I ever decide to get my car wrapped

The cost to repair looks like its going to be big... if you read through the whole thread, the A pillar trim has been snapped and apparently a replacement runs at £900! eek!

Its absolutely shocking. I think the damage will run into the thousands!
How anyone could do that to a car and call themselves a prefessional is beyond me

They deserve to get a 'Bad Wrap' these amateurs! :p

rather bacofoil my own car than let this cowboy near it.

oh, It is bacofoiled or as near as damn its Iridium silver

This picture is great - a real "**** it, he wont notice" effort:

I feel a very small amount of sympathy - at least if he has just cocked the job up... fine and then peel it off. But to damage the car as well is outrageous.

I wonder if that OP did any research on that firm before going ahead...

If that wasn't so ridiculously bad and heartbreakingly expensive to fix.....it would be funny.

Is it just me......why on earth would you want to stick Fablon on your car?

He probably took one look at the numberplate and thought "This Guy hasn't got a scooby-doo anyway, so...."

Hope this isn't a thread hijack, but I have some nice pictures of an R8 in a chrome wrap (it was at my dealers when I went for a service...the car's service!) and I thought perhaps some guys on here might like to see them. Would Bodywork be the right place or in the General section as it isn't a MB.

That is criminal. Full refund and a claim for rectification for getting any damage sorted. Surely he didn't think it was an acceptable job? Time for a career change I think.

This is how my people wrap cars!:)

Reminds me of that honda from a few years ago which bodykit was repaired & attached by woodscrews!

He does ECU remaps too...

Why risk it in the first place? Usually the first owner pays EXTRA for metallic/ pearlescent, so why not keep the black one or buy a white one? Job done; £2K saved!

in the thread he says he did not like the factory white colour

Fair enough. For the mess that can be made, I think I'd have found a way to like it!
