How not to wrap a car!!

I am not a fan of "wrapping" this thread further convinces me

Ok, so I am an old f**t, but I don't get it.

The manufacturers of cars spend millions on the research & development of paint & generally do a great job & then someone buys a car & covers it in glorified cling film! Surely if you really dislike the colour then a) buy one in the colour you like, or b) have a professional respray, done correctly that's a permanent solution.

I don't know what the wrapping stuff is, but having run business's where the vans are sign written, rest assured, if it's similar stuff even the most professional job has a limited shelf life.

The owner then puts on an illegal set of number plates & possibly windows that are too dark & therefore illegal & will complain if (or rather, when) the police "harass" him with stops.

But as I say, I am just a boring old f**t & like my vehicles basically factory standard, so what do I know!

You know that you boring and old and thanks to this post we now all know it to! :thumb:

Wraps to me are a great idea for one reason......

You purchase an expensive car in a colour you may not particulary like because:

1)The colours are limited in that cars range

2)If you buy it in the silly colour you like at the time of purchase, it may not be viewed upon as a sort after colour (or a good selling point) when it comes to re sale.

So you buy it in a colour that is easy to sell on resale, doesnt go out of trend and wrap it in a colour that you really want at the time. This way you have what you want and when you suddenly realise you have grown out of your 'wil side', you can put it back to factory.

This for me is where it is very handy indeed.

50,000 German taxis can't be wrong.
