And your carp opinions...

I've not been 'mean spirited' in the slightest.
'Twas not you I had in mind; you do it to point up absurdities for comedic effect (as do I).

Of Course your opinions are of a more subjective nature.

Treason! My daughter just showed me photos of HRH, apparently taken today of him driving his replacement car without a seat belt!
Also, something about a woman coming forward claiming he almost ran her off the road minutes before his crash.
I find the press coverage lamentable in that the Duke, totally unhurt, receives dozens of paragraphs of print yet the two women
(one with a broken wrist) and young child in the back of the Kia barely get a mention. Sycophantic doesn't come close.
It seems there is little doubt that Phil the Greek pulled out in front of the Kia due to being dazzled by the sun (he claims) and the sole responsibilty of the accident is his.
I hope he is now treated the same as the peasants and charged with careless/driving without due care and attention and is made to take a re test before continuing driving.
It would happen to anyone else of his age.
I think we need the police to investigate before jumping to conclusions. It does seem to be his fault but there are other things to take into account.
Not jumping to conclusions at all. He all but admitted it was his fault in the press reports.
If he pulled out of a sideroad into the path of the Kia it certainly wasn't the fault if the Kia driver unless you believe otherwise.

It was said on the BBC that the local Council claimed that the schedule for reducing the speed limit from 60 to 50 and implementing average speed camera was set months ago and had nothing to do with the crash. You seem to have missed the point.
It is unusual for the authority to take action the day after one incident.
I get that you are protective about the royal family and I've not been 'mean spirited' in the slightest.
BTW, did you get up to speed about the baby?
I tend to think it was Philips fault but there may be other issues to consider.

Fascinating. This might be the first time that AMGeed and E55BOF have a differing opinion. I assumed that they were the same person.
I see and respect your point. I consider this country to be my land as well but law forbids me to not wear a seatbelt.
The fact that his car rolled several times and ended up on the opposite side of the road which would require a lot of momentum, suggests that he did not stop and look when he came to the junction. The impact from the other car did not look to be much, so his momentum is the reason for rolling the car, that and the fact that Land Rovers are top heavy and usually do end upside down after any collision.

What I did wonder about, is how did the reporters come across this information. I.e.... did someone from the palace's PR office 'mentioned' it to journalists? Definitely is gave the immpression that someone was implying that the womam driver was speeding... ahmm.
Does Lewyboy make the same erroneous assumption?![]()
