i get so mad

but if your bonnet is in their visual eye - they would have to be pretty dense to pull into you. I suppose you need to make sure that they do not need to use the mirrors to see you,

I think this is the case, I think if your goung around the roundabout at the same speed you will end up in there blind spot as your taking it wider than them,

does that make sense at all?

It does - seems then to be depending on a decent launch off the roundabout for the headstart.

Still it is very annoying, although what really gets me is the drivers who go all the way round the roundabout in the left lane, especially without indicating.

I have a real pet hate for people who dont indicate, I am a bus driver so its crucial to know where other road users are going.

People in the left lane "straight lining" roundabouts bugs me. There is one particular one on the way to work where I - a) make sure I enter the roundabout ahead of the car in the left hand lane, or b) enter just behind them, but with my hand over the horn to ready to blast as they just miss my passenger side headlight with their rear bumper.

I get it - so you have the option of the two right hand lanes to turn right, there being a dedicated right turn lane, and a shared straight on or right hand turn. But the drivers in the far right, cut off anyone turning right from the shared lane as they come off the roundabout.

Surely this is all about road positioning - if you position yourself far enough forward you cannot be cut-up, otherwise from the sound of it you need to be far enough back to expect it, and make sure that you are not in someones blind spot?

Thanks for clearing that one up David I was confused regarding the actual lane markings.

Dead easy one then the person in the right turn lane when pulling back in has to ensure that the shared lane and any vehicles exiting from it are clear.

We also have a roundabout in Rotherham the B&Q island (Banditdave will know this) there are numerous inceidents of this type here, in every case I have been aware of the person pulling back in from the right lane was deemed to be at fault.
