As others have said before, no-one cares how old you are, what your gender, skin colour or sexual orientation is or how rich or poor you are. All you really need is to grow up some more.

I'm not going to say "no offence" because I suspect you'll take it anyway but try to turn off the PC and go read a book or something, come back tomorrow and you may just find that this is a good place to make friends and get help and advice when you need it. But not if you're only going to interpret everyone's words in a way that fits your mood.

My old Golf was a stunner.I got the bug from many childhood visits with my parents to a little villa in Antibes.The little old lady that cleaned the place had 3 sons who all had 1600cc GTI's.The boys used to race/rally them,I never worked which what but they were all stripped out with roll cages etc etc.As a young lad,this stuff was total petrol heaven.

My dad had a jaguar 12 cylinder coupe,as a company car,the Frenchies thought this was a cool car and some time later when my old man had an Astra GTE mk1,they had a spin around the Paul Ricard cicuit.I will never forget the roofrack on the Astra!!!

I had a reasonably paid job with overtime & I bought myself a beautiful P5 V8.
It had a Silver Birch Roof & the body was BRG with Rostyle wheels!
The interior was caramel leather , it had rear coffee & a front table that had a tool kit under the lid ,we(mates)loved it! This is going back & those who can remember will probably cringe as I do asI remember thinking I was the bee's Knee's wearing my striped shirts with the white collars & cuff's & bellbottoms ha ha how dare we laugh at todays fashions after wearing that garb Lol......nuff said

We don't delete accounts as deleting accounts removes valuable contributions (* note to self to review this rule).

Banning accounts doesn't though.
Just removes the potential for future contributions (and gauging the 'value' of the contributions I've seen thus far... well, I'm sure you're a better judge than I).


On that note but veering slightly more off-topic...
You might consider updating your forum software - I think from vB 3.6.7 onwards, they introduced the 'Infractions' system.
Customisable and cumulative, you assign a value for various types of offences and under totting up, can lead to either a temporary or permanent ban.

I use it on my own forum and it's great for dealing with spammers too - just assign a 100 point limit to a permanent ban and a 30 - 50 point one for a temp ban.
10 points for minor offences (like trolling), 30 - 50 points for more serious offences, such as posting pr0n or warez and 100 points for one-hit wonder advertising spammers.

Works great - can be configured to automatically create a thread in the admin/mods section and send a message to the user in question as to why they've received the points.


PM me if you want any further advice/info on this kind of thing. I've been running my own vB forum for quite some years now.
