IAM member insurance

This might help a few of you out. As a very recent owner (well contract hirer) of a c250cdi, my insurance quotes were between £800 and £1000 (using confused, Merceded, Direct line, Privilege et all) . Current insurer Swiftcover dont do contract hire cars so had to move.

So I tried the IAM brokers (I passed the IAM test in 2008), and wow, great service and a quote just under £500 with the Royal Sun Alliance. Happy days.

You might not think its that cheap, but includes a lot of business miles and the extras like legal cover, courtesy car etc, and with low excess.

I'm insured with the IAM for my motorbike, when the renewal came up they wanted £260, but when I compared the market . com the cheapest came to £160. I asked the IAM to match it, and they did, along with a cheaper excess, business usage and riding other bikes too.
