ICE install in classic 500sl

I was told i was mad for doing what i planned with my Mercedes 500SL 83 model. What i wanted to do was classed as impossible, fitting a high quality system into such an old car. BUt i'm not the one to listen so i undertook the whole job myself!
My system includes: 4 channel Audiobahn amp, Rockford Fosgate 1501 momo amp, Focal 6.5 inch Utopia component speakers in rear and Focal 4 inch 2 way speakers in front. Also a 1.5 farad power cap was installed. There is a 10 inch Focal Polykevlar sub in ported box for the added bass.
I wanted to get the job done by a pro but they wanted £700 to install as the whole interior needed to come out. Thats a lot of money and i think my results aren't bad.

Rockford Fosgate amp installed on the other side of false floor to the Audiobahn amp.

And while i had the seats out i decided these new Recaros would look a treat!

....and so were the ones on the plane that I travelled in yesterday . . . but I think I'd take the ones in my car over those . . . uncomfortable or WHAT !

Should be about 43Hz. Thats the optimun frewuncy i was going to get out of it for that size box. Wanted a larger box but needed some space left in the boot!

saying that im toying with the idea of buying a old golf/fiesta, ri[pping the back seats out & walling it (using the entire rear of the car as a enclosure) with miltiple subs tuned to sommat like 25hz (nutter bass)

did you try that focal in a sealed enclosure before you ported it?

This model is only designed for a ported box. It is designed for optimum bass near the 33hz in a 40 litre box but i made a 25 litre box and had it tuned to a slightly high frequency. Compromises have to be made.
