This may be a stupid idea, but....

I tend to use my 6230i as a music player. And if I can get the phone calls (audio) and phonebook (text lists) routed from my pre-wire through to my Audio 20, why would it not be possible to get my music tracks (audio) and track names (text lists) routed the same way?

Strikes me as theoretically possible and a potential business idea? And yes, I know I can get an iPOD kit which does this but I a) don't especially want yet another device and b) object to being forced down a particular 'fashionable' music player avenue.

Hey, I'm a genius!!! :bannana:

(Watch Miro invent it in his spare time! :D )

Interesting you thought of this. I have a bluetooth headset profile cradle (us version) in my wife's ML and we have Nokia 6300 phones.

With the HFP cradle if you make a call on the phone keypad, audio is routed through the COMAND (and it knows the status of the call, it says 'connecting' etc)

I tried for about 20 minutes to route the mp3 player on the phone's audio through the comand (2.0) system - but no luck

I figured there was something in the BT hfp protocol that told COMAND that the phone was off hook and only then did comand route the audio from the phone system to the speakers.

I'll try it on DVD comand later :-)

Great minds!! But I'd have to get COMAND though (if your idea worked)

Maybe we will become rich beyond the dreams of avarice with this idea. Yeah, right!

Interesting thought though isn't it?
