What's wrong in exchanging original discs?

There's nothing wrong with it I just can see anyone wanting to do this.

If you go to a German shop and buy a local map because you are in Germany and then move to Portugal and go to a Portugeuse shop and ask them to exchange the German map for a Portugeuse map because you no longer have need of the German one - are they likely to?

I offered the dealer the chance of paying extra for the update, but they would'nt take it. The reason I want to do this is exactly because I recognise Copyright (someone pointed out to be illegal, which I agreed). But I also think the dealer should support part of it. It's a Merc, not a renault.

On the other hand, I didn't realise the car had navi active, 'cause I used the portable (mio) navi, until I get here and got time to play around.

So, as you can see, I already have a navi working.

My first question was if anyone could tell me what system I have. Alfie says it's a comand 2.0, navteq says it's a 2.0 dx aps.

I know I'll end buying someone in the forum an updated original, just to have the pleasure of not giving the money to the local mercedes dealer.

Well, it didn't take that long.

Found a guy who is working to Germany in November, and wanted the map, so I exchanged it.

Many thanks to all contributors in the forum.:bannana:

Got a way to burn backups from both the german cd and the portuguese cd (actually had to pay extra 15 €, the port. cd is more recent). Hmmm... I think I could have charged him for the trouble of getting the right way to backup cd's...:o
