"The Britten-Norman aircraft was described at the time as carrying equipment able to monitor telephone conversations on the ground."

"Cheshire police recently revealed they were using the Islander to identify people speeding, driving when using mobile phones, overtaking on double white lines, or driving erratically.

It can also be used for automatic number plate recognition. This capability was seized on yesterday by the campaigns director of Motorists Against Detection, who uses the name Captain Gatso. He said: "Perhaps it's now time for the motorists of the UK to remove their number plates as it has become too much of a liability, what with all this speed enforcement and ANPR equipment about."

No Problem. Just add the sky to the list (overbridges, lay byes, marked and unmarked police cars etc) of things that have to be constantly checked to avoid detection while speeding.

If it all gets too much trouble I suppose there's always obeying the speed limit to fall back on but where's the fun in that.

With timber prices that have trebled in the last couple of months, its less likely

Also not an environmentally friendly way of execution; only epa approved methods of execution may now be used. Exceptions may be made if you have some large carbon footprints to trade.
