Illuminated Sills ( or are they ? )

Spotted this and thought i'd let you know about it , then looked a bit closer and figured it out ...

The guy is wanting £50 for just the two small strips that light up ( they are approx 20 cm by 3 cm ) not including the stainless sills, you can pick these up for about a tenner for the pair ... ask Stats , he replaced his after they failed ...

He reckons Mercedes want £270 for just the strips, not including the sills , don't think this is right somehow....
