This and that.
I want to be able to use my MP3 player (iPod, FWIW) in a car without a radio or stereo. And I don't want to install a radio or stereo.

I assume I need a dock, an amp and some speakers.

Any observations / recommendations?

TIA

I assume that's portable. I want something where only the iPod is removed from the car.

I`ve done a couple of these in older Mini`s. Get a lead from your Ipod headphone socket that ends in RCA leads. Run an RCA lead to an amplifier then use that to power your speakers. Worked well as the customers only ever used their Ipods and the cars had never had stereo`s fitted.

Superb Bob, thanks!

Now can anybody point me to a nice iPod dock for the car, to avoid having a trailing cable?
