Cobra is interesting. Early ones used the 289 Mustang engine .... Replica is affordable

OH my absolute dream car this, but if you go for it, go for a 427, you can get a decent repro from around £20,000. If you can find one, try a Texiera built replica, these cars are, I believe, made in england now, and Texiera was one of the original developers of the space frame chassis that went into the early Shelby's, '67-'69 IIRC. You Jammy Barsteward. !!!!!!!:thumb:

What about a W111 280SE 3.5 coupe? Far better value than a Pagoda I reckon.

The corvettes offer great value for money. Of any era.

Just to repeat something I posted on another thread about Maseratis - tread carefully!! The Classic Car Club run two - a recent Quattroporte and a 4200GT. Both have been extremely unreliable and in fact they're thinking of getting rid of both. Look great, sound great, but from my experience (I also have a friend who has a Ghibli and Kyalami) they are a serious liability to your wallet!! :D

Do the sensible (!!!) thing and get a 'Vette - you know you want to! :D (I sure do!!)

* actually, if enough of us buy Corvettes, we could start a sub branch of MBClub called MB&CorvettesClubUK!! :D

Now THAT I LIKE!! How do the Italians do it.. Even " four door" sounds exotic...

I always wanted a Maserati from about 7 years old when I had a Maserati Bora(matchbox car)

The thing about 911s is they're nothing out of the ordinary.

If a Lagonda or Interceptor were passing in the opposite direction to a 911, where would your eyes be?

Ive just given my turbo R away in px as I had no takers - it was faultless and I used it daily but it wasnt a daily sort of car.
A dealer has it at £5k more than I got for it at £18k

By no means a classic but if you want to have something completely different, massively impress the kids and beat the E55 in terms of performance and handling; then go for an EVO 8 MR FQ340 or FQ360.

Your kids will think you are the coolest Dad in the world, you'll smile from ear to ear when you push the go faster pedal and the noise is superb.

Only down side is that you have to wear a baseball cap and nod your head in time to the 'beat'. Hoodies are optional.

:D
