I guess you are talking about the Sony or Pioneer remotes, I take it they just stick on and plug in!
If there is trim you need to know how to remove or the best cabling routes, tell us where you want to mount it and what trim is the problem and we may be able to help.

Hi graham , yes remote for my sony player ,model RM X4s. I would like to put it near my steering on right hand . I really dont know. Based on the manual it just plug in at the rear of the cd player. But what about the exposed wire ? or do you have any suggestion ?
