They have many intresting parts that ive never seen before, including Clear headlights for the R170 SLK:

Remember that the Japanese drive on the same side of the road as us, so there will be no problems with the headlight beams, no idea of the products quality though!

In the past ive heard stories of some aftermarket clusters steaming up, to get around this people have re-sealed the clusters with some silicon based sealant.

Im sure if you checked them/did this before you installed them you would have no trouble at all.

Yeah I did, I didnt mention them in order to protect the innocent people on this forum - They are a big hit on club202 though... strange that

I'm getting sick of replacing the stupid outer rear bulbs on my car, they burn out once a month or something (I drive with my headlamps on 90% of the time because I drive a lot at night).

Those LED rear lamps look great! Wonder if we should investigate buying a few sets? They probably wouldn't get very excited about sending just one pair to the UK but a box of 10 might interest them. Need to check that they have fog lamps built-in (not required in Japan). Fancy a set?

EDIT: checked currency conversion and it's £78 per pair before shipping (probably the same amount )

I would DEFINETLY be up for this. I drive alot to Italy, and I need to keep my lights on all the time there; not too mention that I actually think they look pretty good!

Whilst looking for something else I noticed that cks performance sell the same LED tail lamps for the W202 at a remarkable £235 plus shipping! Quite a bit more than the £78 they are being sold for in Japan!

Less hassle though I suppose.

I just bought some of these LED tail lights for the W202 a few days ago.

The ones they are selling are less smoked than the ones I bought and look a bit different, the ones I ordered are more smoked like OEM. When I install them I will post some pics!

Those lamps look more/less smoked depending on viewing angle and ambient lighting I think!

Found a set HERE on eBay.

As with the orignal link, they arent totally OEM in appearance, more of a crystal look.

Just to add: howcome none of these LED tail lamps have LED indicators? We know this is possible so why would they create lamps that have LED brake, side and fog lamps but leave the indicators? Reverse I can cope with I suppose although some cars have LED reverse as well!

Maybe the viewing angle still isn't wide enough, but surely they could just angle them around the curve???
