Interior Motion Sensor CLK W208

Mine doesn't appear to be working. Tried isolating the cabin last week as we leave the dog inside and understood that you depress the isloation button and it flashes to let you know it's operational. It didn't flash so we took a risk and 10 mins later the alarm hadn't sounded.

Later on I locked myself in without pressing the isolating switch and waved my arms around in a very unscientific way and the alarm didn't sound. I checked the alarm operation by getting out of the car without switching it off and it sounded as soon as the door opened.

Is it knackered or is it possible that the previous owners have deactivated it somehow - and if this is possible how do you un-deactivate it?! As an aside the light on the button didn't flash when I tried it for the tow away protection either but it flashes like fury when the alarm is set.

Thanks in advance for any help.

As you say, it is possible that a previous owner has had the interior motion sensors deactivated. Can only be reactivated by STAR though.

I would advise going to an indy with STAR diagnostics to run a quick test on the car. They'll be able to tell you if the sensors have been deactivated or if they are at fault.
