Intermittent stuck in gear

Hi forum!

I have a R350 '06 (272bhp engine with 7G-tronic gearbox) and recently on 2 occasions the car have been stuck in gear. Both times I've been close to home and I've just parked (and when I've driven away again everything seems normal). Last time it happened I was more "alert" to the problems since it was the second time it happened and I tried shifting with the paddles on the steering wheel but even though the display indicated different gears the car still didn't shift gear resulting in quite high revs to "limp home".

Anybody who knows anything about this? I guess the major components are shared with ML & GL but maybe other models as well.

You need it plugged into a Star. Otherwise it's guess work. I expect it will be a faulty speed sensor.

My old c320 cdi did this, it gets worse. Change auto box fluid and it fixes it for a while but it comes back, needs to be put on star to find cause rather than curing, I px'd mine before getting to the bottom of this problem
