Hi
I'm not sure whether anyone else has done this, but I recently changed from a Iphone 3Gs to 4Gs. The new phone doesn't fit the old holder so I paired the phone using Bluetooth but this doesn't recognise the phonebook, so I bought a £1.95 Iphone phone to dock extender and attached the iphone to 3Gs holder. This allowed me to successfully upload my address book. Strangely it didn't power the phone so I might sometime get around to changing the holder. In the meantime I use a 12V cigarette USB adapter (£2.50) to power the phone on longer journeys.
Also strangely the 4Gs gives much clearer calls than the 3Gs. Not what I was expecting.
