Hi All.
I just had my iPhone 5 replaced under warranty and now it doesn't work properly via my car's bluetooth connection???
I can connect OK but when I make or receive a call it wont go through my car speakers anymore!
Has anyone else experienced this? I presume it's a setting on the phone as the car is still the same. Well for now anyway...
Any advice would be great :)
Cheers, DJM

^ wot he said. iPhone 5 works OK for me...

IIRC others have reported this and it is a setting on the phone but I cant remember what it is. Try a search.

Hi.
Thanks for the quick response guys!
Yes I deleted everything and started fresh...twice.
Maybe I'll try it again tomorrow but it just seems strange. When I click the audio option on my phone for 'MB Bluetooth' it doesn't really let me select it. It just seems to highlight it for a split second and thats it.
Very strange???
Thanks though :)

I've looked all over but can't seem to find anything related to this. Can anyone else shed any light please?
Cheers!

Cant seem to find it, maybe it wasnt an iphone. Things to try, update iphone to latest software and reset it, make sure iphone name only has letters and numbers, delete all pairings from Comand and do a full reset of the Comand unit and try setting it all up again as per the instructions on the above link.

Thank you npuk but after trying it again I still can't hear audio through my car speakers. This is really annoying me now! The only difference in this scenario is the new iPhone so I'm sure MB will blame them.
I might have to change my car now...

Speak to Richard or Alfie at Comand.co.uk and see what the say.

what firmware is on the current iPhone? it maybe hat the replacement has newer firmware; on different matters, this can cause various issues

Hi. Do you mean the IOS? If so it is 6.1.4...Is that the same as firmware? Like I said it connects fine but I just can't seem to get the audio through my speakers...

Have you checked the volume settings on the phone and turned it up on COMAND when a call is in progress?

Yes 6.14 is latest.... Was this on older iphone 5 or was it 6.12, 6.13. Or when did you buy the original iphone 5? In your possession, did you do any updates for the firmware

For what it's worth mine used to do that but when selecting the MB Bluetooth I had to press it twice, found it by accident after answering the phone via the handset.

Really hope this works

As an aside to this, is there a dedicated iPhone 5 cradle made yet?

get the phone checked out at the Apple store, if all is well then go to your phone service provider (O2, 3, EE,etc) do a sim swap, i had untold problems till i did that, now OK. By the way i got a new IPod touch and the battery was running down even when it was off, took it to Apple, they gave me a new one straight away nothings perfect, good luck with it

Thanks everyone.
I got my first iPhone 5 on the day it launched and the replacement last weekend. I've tried all sorts and Apple checked it out today but found nothing wrong.
I might try changing the sim but I can't see how that would fix anything to be honest. I guess it's worth a try though...
I keep thinking that there must be a setting somewhere but I never had any problems using my other phone.
I will keep you posted :)

Do you have a friend or relative with the same model Comand you can try your phone on?
